5 Indian T20I cricketers who were overlooked by Indian selectors

1. Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik has been serving the Indian national cricket team for quite a long time. He made his debut for India in 2004 and since then he has been in and out of the team. However, the fans saw a new version of Dinesh Karthik in 2018.

The wicketkeeper-batsman became a Nidahas Trophy hero by hitting 22 runs off the last over off Rubel Hossain’s bowling. Since then, he was liked and admired by fans all across the nation. His last T20I came against Australia in Bengaluru in February 2019. His last ODI came against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semi-final in July 2019.

He was dropped from the Indian team in 2019 and hasn’t been called back since then. With the emergence of Pant, Samson, Kishan and KL Rahul, it would be really tough to make a comeback at this age. However, the 35-year-old man can still make a comeback if he performs well in the next IPL season.
