New head-coach Trevor Bayliss is looking to make multiple changes in the squad.

After KL Rahul left for Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings retained his partner Mayank Agarwal for INR 12 crore. Furthermore, they appointed him the skipper as well for the 2022 edition.
The additional duties of captaincy affected Mayank’s batting as Karnataka better scored only 196 runs in 13 matches at an average of 16.71 and a strike rate of 122.50. As per reports, the Mohali-based franchise is looking to release the batter ahead of IPL 2023.
Many franchises desperately need a quality Indian opener and can match the asking price of INR 12 crore for the batter in the trading window for IPL 2023. If a team comes asking for Mayank Agarwal, Punjab Kings won’t hesitate to let the batter go ahead of IPL 2023.
